About the position
We are looking for a well-trained all-round Financial Manager who has gained experience as a Controller. Someone who is ready to take on a leadership position as the financial conscience of the business.
Reporting to the (new) MD/Geschäftsführer you will be responsible for all finance matters of the company. Knowledge of our industry is not a requirement, but having experience in a production environment is. As a member of the management team, you are a proactive business partner with a focus on increasing the maturity level of the finance function, strengthening compliance & control and creating valuable steering information to drive improvement of financial and operational performance.
In terms of co-leading this small company, you will understand what it takes to gain acceptance and respect from the team also considering the specific region where the company is located. You will have a good feeling for the business itself and will assist in the integration into the Contiweb group. In working with Contiweb, the Finance Manager should be familiar and feel comfortable with moving in a company environment that is best described as an easy-going, non-political ‘Du’ culture where people are direct and are expected to speak their mind.
Areas of responsibility
· Leading the finance organization of the Company – currently 1 employee in accounting with other tasks outsourced to the tax advisor
· Broad internally focused responsibility for tax, treasury, insurance, IT, HR and procurement
· Monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing. Annual statutory reporting to German GAAP – Monthly management accounts to Dutch GAAP
· Setting-up and maintaining measures to assure compliance and adequate administrative organization and internal control
· Maintaining external relationships with tax advisors, auditors, advisors and insurance companies
· Maintaining the planning & control cycle including annual budget and monthly / quarterly forecasts
· Setting-up credit management and liquidity planning
· Monthly analysis of sales, margins, opex, working capital and cash flow
· Setting up and developing valuable steering information about business performance including KPI’s
· Being a right hand business partner / co-pilot to the MD, challenging the business and driving growth and performance improvements
· Driving (cross-departmental) improvement processes
· Monthly reporting to Contiweb HQ in The Netherlands
· Active involvement in anticipated merger & acquisition processes
In this role you report to the MD of the company and you have a dotted line to the Group CFO and International Finance Manager of Contiweb with whom you will be working closely.
Your Profile
. You have a completed business economics education, supplemented with one or more master's degree.
· You have at least 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
· You have demonstrable experience with ERP systems, automation and process optimization
· Good MS office skills with above average MS Excel knowledge
· You have knowledge of the German GAAP accounting standards. Knowledge of international standards is an advantage.
· Hands on experience with tax, cash management and insurance
· Extremely responsible, reliable and flexible with a high level of motivation and ambition
· Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to a varied and changing workload
· Used to working independently able to take a hands-on approach to bring about change
· Enjoy working in a demanding and dynamic environment
· Excellent communication skills in English and German
· Excellent analytical capabilities.
· Well-developed interpersonal skills and organizational awareness.
